Pathfinder Launch: A Landmark in Advanced Endoscopy in Belgium

Prion Medical is proud to announce a significant milestone in Belgian endoscopy. This week, the first four procedures using the Pathfinder endoluminal access system have been successfully completed on Belgian soil. These cases mark an important advancement in the application of innovative therapeutic techniques and highlight our commitment to supporting cutting-edge clinical solutions in the field of advanced endoscopy.

The procedures were carried out at four leading institutions across the country:

• UCL Saint-Luc Brussels: The case was guided by Professor Tom Moreels and Dominique Vandenbosch, with critical support from head nurse Amale Cherfane.

• CHC MontLégia Liège: Performed under the expert direction of Dr Philippe Leclercq and nurse Michel Minster.

• AZ Delta Roeselare: Led by Dr Lobke Desomer, supported by nurses Sophie Braekeveld and Thessa Geurs.

• AZ Sint-Maarten Mechelen: Conducted by Dr Lode Van Overbeke, with expert assistance from nurse Pieter De Witte.

These first Belgian Pathfinder procedures reflect growing momentum in the adoption of advanced endoluminal access platforms and demonstrate the strong collaboration between clinical teams and our industry partners.
